Kitchen Renovation

The goal for this kitchen was to modernize the aesthetics with a sleek, contemporary look and to update finishes so they are more durable and easier to clean. Walls were removed on both sides of the kitchen so the floor plan now seamlessly connects to the living room and dining area, making the space feel bright, open, and far more inviting.

This project called for: New flooring, cabinets, backsplash, walls removed, installation of an island and new appliances, walls were repaired and painted, and new baseboards completed the look.

This composite deck with glass railing replaced the original precast concrete front step, transforming the front entrance into a functional and inviting outdoor space. With a west-facing view, it becomes an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the vibrant colors of the sunset.

Custom Solutions - Boardwalk

Side alley with a wooden walkway, snow on the ground, green and blue trash bins, side of a house with siding and brick, part of a car parked nearby, and a tree visible in the background.

This boardwalk-style walkway was built to create a path to the back entrance. Concrete wasn’t an option because the main utilities run underneath, so this design allows for easy access if future repairs are ever needed.

ongoing construction of a wooden deck with partially installed wooden planks, a person's foot visible in the bottom right corner, and building materials nearby.

A hinged section was built to serve as a fire exit, allowing safe egress from the basement for tenants.

A small deck at the backdoor, thoughtfully designed to connect to the boardwalk, offers a seamless transition between house and yard. It was built around a large tree to provide natural shade and a focal point for the area, creating a comfortable space used for hosting and gatherings.

Mouse-proofing a room

This room is adjacent to an attic.
The unsealed base area was allowing mice to invade the room.

As requested by the home owner, steel wool and a sealant were inserted into the small void under the drywall. The client wanted a simple and effective baseboard to secure the perimeter.

The baseboard was installed then sealed on the top with a white paintable sealant. A small bead of clear elastomeric sealant was applied along the floor and bottom of the baseboard to complete the process.

This room is officially free of mice!

UV - window Treatment

Removed old deteriorated vertical blinds and installed new UV‑resistant roller blinds for improved durability and appearance.
